A Ghost of an Affair BANNER.jpg
Welcome to my post for the A Ghost of an Affair book tour! I have a review coming up, as well as a giveaway for an e-copy of A Ghost of An Affair. But, first, allow me to introduce the book:

Grace McGillis is over the moon to have won the love, or at least the favor, of Dr. Sage Gerret, the resident heartthrob at the hospital where she is a receptionist. Sage hopes to “improve” her: to inspire her to eat and drink less and educate herself about fine art and music. Everyone sees Sage as a great catch. Why else would Grace put up with his barbs about her appearance and his uninspired lovemaking?

Enter Breece, an adoring alpha male who is out-of-this-world in bed. That is not surprising, for he is, after all, a ghost. Though Sage may not be anyone’s dream date, he is alive. Grace is falling in love with Breece, but is love enough? Even if fate allows her ghost lover to continue his delightful haunting, how will this couple find love everlasting?

My Rating: 3 Roses

A super spicy romance that definitely turned the heat up, A Ghost of an Affair was a good read. It wasn't perfect, but I liked it fine.

Let me start with what I did like. I liked that Grace was a heroine that was easy to relate to. She wasn't perfect, but she was clever and likable for the most part. Breece was a total sweetheart and definitely hot enough to make you want to fan your face.

The romance between them was good. There was, of course, plenty of heat going on that practically melted my Kindle while I was reading. But, they were also sweet together.

Sage was a total ass that I wanted to punch in the face more than once but, since I'm pretty sure that was the point, I was okay with that.

Now to what I didn't like, which was really just one main problem. I really wish Grace had been able to identify herself beyond the man she was with. She never considered breaking up with Sage other than in terms of giving him up for Breece, rather than the fact that it definitely wasn't good for her to be with a man who put her down and didn't respect her and she should break up with him to rid herself of his negativity. And, when she did choose Breece, she did the same thing, wrapping her life and happiness around one person, rather than thinking of everything else in her life. It kept me from really respecting her character and that brought down the book for me.

However, I still did enjoy the story. It wasn't perfect, but it was a nice read. Romance lovers, if you want something that will turn up to heat all the way to scorching, then this is a book you might want to check out.

*I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review

My three children have left home, however my life is still manic. I live with my husband he sadly won’t leave home but I live in hope (joke). I have one suicidal cat that really does have nine lives.

I have five Alaskan Malamutes. They own me literally as I never go anywhere without taking their hair with me, they insist! My hobbies are showing and working them.

My first love though is writing, it’s a total escape for me my selfish time :) Writing my books takes me from the mundane chores of work into another universe.

Since a child I devoured any written word and enjoy acting out my fantasies in print.

My ambition is to pack in my nine to five job and become a full time writer. Another one of my many dreams. I have stockpiled work of various genres, including my first love erotic romance, followed by psychological thrillers and supernatural so be prepared I am making my mark on the world of literature
