Welcome to my post for the As Long As You Love Me book tour! I have a review coming up, as well as a giveaway for signed sets of I Want it That Way and As Long As You Love Me. But, first, allow me to introduce the book:

As Long As You Love Me (2B Trilogy #2)
Release date: September 30, 2014
Publisher: Harlequin HQN
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Series: 2B Trilogy #2

Most people dream about getting out of Sharon, Nebraska, but after three years away, Lauren Barrett is coming home. There are the justifications she gives to everyone else—missing her family, losing her college scholarship. And then there’s the reason Lauren can’t admit to anyone: Rob Conrad, her best friend’s older brother.

Football prowess and jaw-dropping good looks made Rob a star in high school. Out in the real world, his job and his relationships are going nowhere. He can’t pinpoint exactly what’s missing until Lauren comes back to town, bringing old feelings and new dreams with her. But he’s the guy that women love and leave—not the one who makes them think of forever.

Though she’s terrified of opening up, Lauren’s ready to take that chance. Because the only thing more important than figuring out where you truly belong is finding the person you were meant to be with.

My Rating: 3 Roses

A sweet and light New Adult romance, As Long As You Love Me was an enjoyable read. I didn't like it quite as much as book 1, but I still thought it was a great book.

Lauren was an okay character. She was forgiving, willing to look beneath the surface, and determined to prove herself as someone she could be proud of. My only issue with her was that I wish she owned up to her mistakes. She tended to make excuses rather than just acknowledge that she was wrong. Otherwise, I thought she was great.

Rob was simply amazing. SO sweet and just adorable in general. He had low self confidence because he wasn't book smart and that led to a lot of people thinking less of him. But, he was such a genuinely kind, thoroughly good man who found his own way to make it in the world. He was such a delight and I adored him.

The romance was sweet. Lauren and Rob had liked each other for years but neither had acted on it. When they finally did, it didn't take long for their feelings to deepen and the chemistry to go through the roof. They were a couple the helped make each other better and I thought they were great together.

The plot was good and I was kept interested the entire way through. The only thing that bothered me was something that happened near the end. It was a frustrating plot twist that made me upset with the characters, particularly Lauren and I wish that they had handled it differently. But, otherwise, I liked the story and the ending was lovely.

As Long As You Love Me was sweet and enjoyable New Adult romance. It had its flaws, but it was still an overall lovely read. Romance lovers, you might want to check this book out.
