I Want It That Way Book Tour: Review + Giveaway!

Welcome to my post for the I Want it That Way book tour! I have a review coming up, as well as a giveaway for copies of I Want it That Way. But, first, allow me to introduce the book:

I Want It That Way (2B Trilogy #1)
Release date: August 26, 2014
Publisher: Harlequin HQN
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Series: 2B Trilogy #1

Nadia Conrad has big dreams, and she’s determined to make them come true. But between maintaining her college scholarship and working at the local day care to support herself, dating’s the last thing on her mind. Then she moves into a new apartment and meets the taciturn yet irresistible guy in 1B….

Daniel Tyler has grown up too fast. Becoming a single dad at twenty turned his life upside down—and brought him heartache he can’t risk again. Now, as he raises his four-year-old son while balancing a full-time construction management job and night classes, the last thing he wants is noisy students living in the apartment upstairs. But one night, Nadia’s and Ty’s paths cross, and soon they can’t stay away from each other.

The timing is all wrong—but love happens when it happens. And you can’t know what you truly need until you stand to lose it.

My Rating: 4 Roses

A sweet, emotional, and overall enjoyable New Adult romance, I Want it That Way was a wonderful read. I really liked this book. It was a great start to a new series and it was simply lovely.

Nadia was a great heroine. She freely admitted to mistakes and, once she was sure that she wanted something, she wasn't afraid to go after it. In general, she was just a kind, good-hearted person that was easy to like. I thought she was lovely.

Ty was just adorable. I loved how devoted he was to his son. He put Sam first, no matter what, and was a wonderful father. Not to mention that he was very attractive and could be both sweet and charming when he wanted to be. I thought he was brilliant and I adored him.

The romance was great. I really appreciated that both characters were actually mature about it in this book. Way too many New Adult books seem to have ridiculously immature characters who mess things up for themselves. Not in this case. The issues that Nadia and Ty dealt with were real, not the least of which was that Ty had a son and if they decided to go for a full relationship, it would have to be a full-strings, serious relationship because it couldn't be anything less with Sam around. I thought they were very sweet together, Even with the obstacles in their way, it was clear that they cared for each other right from the beginning. And, they definitely had some hot chemistry, right from the moment they met. I thought they were a lovely couple.

Sam was SO CUTE! I'm so glad that he wasn't there as an afterthought, or a mere plot point. He was a full character that was simply adorable. He made me smile whenever he was on the page and I just loved the cute little boy.

The plot was well paced and, while there were some parts that were less interesting than others, I was kept interested the entire way though. I'm really glad that this is one of the New Adult books that don't follow the cliche pattern and actually create an engaging, original story. I really enjoyed the book and the ending was wonderful. I can't wait to read book 2!

I Want it That Way was a lovely New Adult romance that I really liked. It was sweet, emotional, and just wonderful. Romance lovers, this is a book you'll want to check out.
