Welcome to my post for the Eternal Mixture book tour! I have a review coming up, as well as a giveaway for copies of Eternal Mixture. But, first, allow me to introduce the book:

Eternal Mixture
Release date: November 1, 2013
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance

If you had the chance to start your life over, would you take it? If you were told you would live for eternity, would you embrace it? If a stranger told you he was your soul mate, would you believe it?

Raina Richmond has played it safe her entire life. She has never broken the rules. That is, until Brent Alexander walked straight into her life, causing havoc. Turning her world upside down.

Brent is the new kid in town. He is every girl’s fantasy: adorable, charming, chiseled, and the typical boy Raina usually steers clear of. But there is just something about him she can’t seem to resist. Safe is no longer an option for her. For him, she breaks all the rules.

What she doesn’t realize is that he holds the key to her past, present, and future. Once he reveals the reasons behind their irrevocable connection, she will unlock the answers to all of her questions, and her life as she knows it will never be the same again.

My Rating: 3 Roses

Sweet romance, buried secrets, and a lovely story. Eternal Mixture was a good YA paranormal romance read. I didn't love it, but I did enjoy reading it. It was a lovely book.

Raina was a good character. At first, I didn't like her much, because she tended to act immature and fell into that terrible YA heroine trap of "I'm such a plain Jane! Why would this gorgeous guy like me? I'm so insecure and unaware of my beauty that everyone is constantly telling me about." Annoying. But, she got better over the course of the book and grew past that trap and I ended up okay with her.

Brent, on the other hand, was totally adorable. Very sweet and so delightfully devoted to Raina. He would literally do anything for her. He was a total sweetie.

The romance was lovely. Raina and Brent were so sweet together. I liked how they both loved each other full and unconditionally, even more so with all the history between them. I thought they were great together.

The plot was okay. I wasn't totally hooked. I skimmed for a chunk in the middle, before things really got interesting. There were a few twists and surprises along the way. I enjoyed the story and the ending has me curious about what will happen next.

Eternal Mixture was a good YA paranormal romance. It wasn't perfect, but it was an enjoyable read. YA lovers, you might want to check this one out.

About the Author:
Shevaun Delucia
Shevaun DeLucia lives in upstate New York with her husband, four children, and two dogs. As a stay-at-home mom while her children were young, she fell in love with reading. She indulged in the small moments that took her away from the reality of her loud, overly rambunctious household, bringing her into a world of fantasy. When reading wasn’t enough to satisfy her, she turned to writing, determined to create the perfect ending of her own.
