Welcome to my post for the One Night with the Shifter book tour! I have a review coming up, as well as a guest post from the author and a giveaway for some delicious chocolate and a copy of One Night with a Shifter. But, before we get to all that, allow me to introduce the book:

One Night with the Shifter
Release date: February 4, 2014
Publisher: Harlequin
Genre: Paranormal (Vampire/Shifter) Romance

A one-night stand with a werewolf has unexpected consequences in Theresa Meyers's latest romance in the Sons of Midnight series.

After he is exiled from his pack, Tyee Grayson must learn to make it on his own. But one night with a beautiful stranger who has luminous blue eyes changes everything…. Especially when his instincts shout that she is the one.

All elementary school teacher Jessica Brierly wanted was a night on the wild side, but when she finds herself pregnant, all the rules change. Not only does her lover have more secrets than she ever imagined, but suddenly they're both fighting off vampires.

When vampires attack the town she dearly loves, Ty must work with his old pack to save them from a ruthless enemy who could kill not only his mate and his unborn child—but the entire human race.

My Rating: 4 Roses

One Night with the Shifter was a fantastic paranormal romance. This book was just lovely and I really enjoyed reading it.

Jess was a good heroine. She was tougher than she appears, taking on a world of werewolves and vampires and refusing to let anyone rule her. I thought she was lovely and I liked her.

Ty was also wonderful. He was very sweet and very protective of those he loved. I really liked him, as well.

The romance was both sweet and hot. Jess and Ty had a ton of chemistry and it got hot. They were also rather sweet together, despite their shaky start. I thought they were lovely together.

The plot was fast paced and I was kept interested the entire way through. There were some twists that I never saw coming. I really enjoyed the story and the ending, though a bit rushed, was good.

One Night with the Shifter was a wonderful paranormal romance. It was thrilling, romantic, and enjoyable. Romance lovers, this is a book worth checking out.

*I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review

What makes Werewolves so hot?

What makes werewolves so hot? Personally I think it’s the wild, bad boy nature of them. Let’s be honest with one another up front – bad boys are hot. There’s just something about them, isn’t there? You know you shouldn’t. You know it could be dangerous, but they just make all your girl parts sit up and take notice.

Most of the time bad boys are bad news because they tend to take what they want and walk away without a thought leaving a trail of broken hearts behind them. But that’s not all bad boys. Take Tyee Grayson, my hero in One Night with the Shifter. He seems like he’d be a bad boy through and through. He’s a loner. He’s got mad fighting skills and he’s got a freakin’ chip on his shoulder that could crush cars. But deep down what makes him all those things, also makes him damn attractive. He’s tenacious and won’t let go once he’s fixated on something – just like a wolf on the hunt. There’s the wild, unpredictable nature to him, but he’s also the kind of guy, who just like his wolf brothers, who is loyal to the core and mates for life. Once he believes you’re the one, no one else will do.

Jessica Brierly finds that out very quickly once she spends a night in Ty’s big, strong arms. What was meant to be a once in a lifetime wild one night stand turns into much more, especially when she finds out she’s pregnant. There is nothing fiercer than a wolf when it comes to protecting his pack. Having a guy who would do anything to protect you and your children is hot all on it’s own, never mind the rippling muscles.

Perhaps bad boys are so appealing because of their devil-may-care no-holds-barred approach to life. They seem to be a prime example of grabbing life a hold of the handle bars and going for one hell of a ride with the wind in your hair. On the other hand, what makes a bad boy even better is one that is so totally focused on you that you feel like the whole world doesn’t exist outside of the two of you. Add to that a heart with real feelings, and you’ve got not just a bad boy, but a keeper.

So my question for you is, what makes a bad boy, in this case a werewolf, appealing to you?
