She believes in ghosts.

Medium and paranormal investigator Arabella Pierce is sent with her crew to Kingston Cottage, a haunted Maine seafarer’s cottage on an isolated island, but for this investigation, her boss has stuck them with skeptical reporter Lucas Brown. Though he’s hot as they come, Arabella can’t trust a man whose sole job is to discredit her and the work she does. Not after what happened with the last few skeptics...

He believes in evidence.

But Lucas isn’t as skeptical as he seems—he wants the truth, no matter what that is. When the ghosts appear, he and Arabella must work together—in tight quarters—to convince the resident ghosts to move on before a storm strands the entire crew on the island. If Arabella can put aside her prejudices, she and Lucas just might have a shot at a lifetime.

My Rating: 4 Roses

A sweet, haunting romance novella, Ghosts of Kingston Cottage was a lovely read. I really enjoyed reading this book. It had sweet romance, lost spirits, and a wonderful story.

Both of the lead characters were great. Arabella was likable and strong. She doesn't hide what she is, but is wary of people who seek to discredit her ability for their own gain. I thought she was great. Lucas was also wonderful. He was really sweet. He was honestly just looking for the truth and didn't rule anything out of the realm of possibility. I really liked him as well.

The romance was very sweet. Arabella and Lucas were adorable together. I thought they were a lovely couple.

I really liked the story of the two ghosts haunting the area, Seamus and Katie. How Katie felt terrible for losing the ring Seamus worked so hard to buy for her and didn't want to return to him without it, while Seamus just wanted to be with his wife in the afterlife. Both had waited so long to be together again, so it was so sweet when they finally got their own version of happily ever after.

The story was good. The plot was steadily paced and I really enjoyed the story. I thought the ending was perfect. The only reason I knocked off a point was the I wasn't completely drawn into the story, even though I did enjoy it. I just didn't get completely hooked. But, I still really liked the story and the novella as a whole.

Ghosts of Kingston Cottage was a lovely paranormal romance novella. It was sweet, haunting, and romantic. I really enjoyed reading it. Lovers of romance, if you want a great, quick read, then you should check this book out.
