Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted, she’s about to find the one she needs.

Pepper has been hopelessly in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, for like ever. He’s the key to everything she’s always craved: security, stability, family. But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom—take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.

Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…

My Rating: 5 Roses

Going into this book, I was a little wary. Though it sounded good, I was worried that a heroine that was using the hero for sex pointers would get on my nerves. But, it turned out that I had nothing to worry about. Foreplay was a wonderful New Adult romance. I absolutely loved it! And I have no doubt that other NA lovers will adore this book as well.

Pepper was a fantastic heroine. As I said, I thought I would get annoyed that she was using Reece to learn foreplay. It seemed mean. But, Pepper was such a genuinely nice and honest character that I still really liked her. For one thing, I appreciated that she was just up front to Reece and didn't string him along. He knew what he was getting into. And she was just a really nice character. Really and truly likable. If I got annoyed with her at all, it was because she held on to the fantasy that Hunter symbolized for so long. But, considering her past, it was understandable that she would cling to the idea of someone safe and stable. If anything, at least she knew when to admit she was wrong and go for what she really wanted. I thought she was great and I really liked her.

Reece was brilliant. He was so sweet and unbearably hot. Though on the surface, he looks like a stereotypical bad boy, he was much more than that. Because of his problems with his father, he's very mature and responsible and dedicated to running his bar and taking care of his brother. Not to mention he knew to go after what he wanted. And he could be so adorably sweet. He was perfect and I adored him.

The romance was really well done. Even though Pepper was going into it with another guy in mind, the romance still developed very well. It was really sweet how their feelings developed, despite the circumstances. And, this book is about foreplay, so we can't forge the sparks that were flying between these two. There were definitely some steamy moments. Pepper and Reece were a brilliant couple.

The plot was fast paced. I was hooked the entire way through. The story was really enjoyable and there were some surprising secrets, with the pasts that still haunted Pepper and Reece. And the ending was perfect. I can't wait to read more from this series because this book was a brilliant start and, if it's any indication of what the rest of the series will be like, then it will fantastic!

Foreplay was a brilliant New Adult romance. I absolutely adored this book. Lovers of the genre, you definitely  have to read this book because it's just amazing!
