So Many FREE Books!

So, I was cruising along Amazon, looking at the current deals, checking out if there were any good ones up today. When, lo and behold, I find a jackpot of free historical romance books! Usually I'll find one or two a day, maybe. It depends on the day. But today, I found 6 super amazing books and a novella. That's 7 free reads. I just couldn't keep it to myself. Not when all these books sounded so wonderful. So, historical romance lovers, today is your lucky day! Here's what I found:

1) Wildfire Kiss by Claudy Conn

Wildfire KissLady Babs had already done one unforgivable thing: she had written a novel. It was under a pseudonym, of course, but the story she’d thought would sell only a few copies to help stave off her father’s creditors was becoming a sensation. Passion’s Seed had the beau monde in a panic, because it was all about ‘them’! If it were ever revealed that she, one of the aristocracy’s own, was the author, she would be ruined.

Now she was contemplating doing something equally scandalous. The ‘rules’ dictated that, as a woman, she had to wait until marriage to enjoy pleasures men were allowed when single. Lady Babs, however, had other ideas, for she had fallen in love with the man known as Lord Wildfire, a dashing duke with a penchant for the ladies but not for marriage.

But while she yearned for Lord Wildfire, another man lusted after her. And Sir Edward was willing to go to any lengths to make her his—including following his hunch that Lady Babs was somehow involved in the publication of Passion’s Seed …

2) Nothing to Commend Her by Jo Barrett

Nothing To Commend Her

The Earl of Pensby lost his wife in a fire, one that left him scarred in more ways than one. He’s surly, brooding, and according to half the ton, a monster. Except to Agatha Trumwell, she sees so much more than his scars. But with a pitiful dowry, unfavorable looks, and a tendency to speak her mind, she has nothing to commend her, or so she believes. Can these two lonely souls find love amid the gossiping beau monde while someone plots to tear their fragile world apart?

The Bridegroom Wore Plaid (MacGregor Trilogy, #1)
His Family or His Heart — One of Them Will Be Betrayed...
Ian MacGregor is wooing a woman who's wrong for him in every way. As the new Earl of Balfour, though, he must marry an English heiress to repair the family fortunes.

But in his intended's penniless chaperone, Augusta, Ian is finding everything he's ever wanted in a wife.

His Captive (MacGruders, #1)
Strangers

With a wastrel brother and a treacherous former fiancé, Lady Nichola Westcott hardly expects the dangerously seductive Scot who kidnaps her to be a man of his word. Though Sir Alexander MacGruder promises not to hurt her, Nichola's only value is as a pawn to be ransomed.

Enemies

Alexander's goal is to avenge his father's murder, not to become entangled with the enemy. But his desire to keep Nichola with him, in his home--in his bed--unwittingly make her a target for those who have no qualms about shedding English blood.

Lovers

Now Nichola is trapped--by her powerful attraction to a man whose touch shakes her to the core. Unwilling and unable to resist each other, can Nichola and Alexander save a love that has enslaved them both?

The Training of a MarquessClaire Tremaine, the widowed Marchioness of Derebourne, wears leather breeches, trains horses, and helps the damaged ones find their lost spirit. Her husband has just passed away, leaving her with no place to live.

Chastain Warren, the Earl of Kensington, Chase to his friends, isn't pleased when he learns he's inherited the title of Marquess of Derebourne. Having recently lost his beloved wife and child, the last thing he wants is to be caretaker of Hillcrest Abbey. Nor does he want to be attracted to Derebourne's widow, but he is. This woman who wears breeches isn't anything like the ladies he's waltzed with in the ballrooms of London.

It doesn't take Claire long to realize she wants this man, and when he resists, she comes up with a plan she calls The Training of a Marquess and works her horse-whispering magic on Chase.

Love Lies and Murder
An unusual proposal and an intriguing whodunit set in the sumptuous Regency period, with a passionate love story at its centre.

Under the terms of his father's Will, widower Alexander Cavendish must remarry before he turns 30, but the suspicions which surround his first wife's death mean that his choices are limited. On impulse, he picks a stranger, offering her security and protection in return for marriage.

Helen Norton has few options in life and accepts the proposal, but she quickly comes to realise that everything in Alex's home is not as it seems. When attempts are made on her life, Helen realises that if she is to stand a chance of surviving, she must solve the riddle of his first wife's murder.

Is Alex a killer, or is he Helen's devoted husband? Was his first wife an adulteress or simply a loving mother? And if not Alex, then who among this family of aristocrats had the motive to kill?

Perchance To Dream
A historical fantasy short story

The Honorable Andrew Montrose dreamed of swimming and breathing underwater. The Caribbean island plantation staff feared he was going mad. The islanders whispered that he’d been ensorcelled by Merfolk. But for the Honorable Andrew Montrose, it was just a dream.

Until the day he saw her.
