Only For You (Unforgettable You #1) by Beverley Kendall + Featured Freebie

Only For You (Unforgettable You, Book 1)
College freshman Olivia Montgomery is thrilled at the chance to start over, escape the rumors that plagued her in high school. And she can finally put her juvenile crush, Zachary Pearson, where he belongs--in her past. Then her unrequited love strolls into her French class, shattering Olivia's newfound peace, and the feelings she'd thought buried for good come rushing back. Now she can't shake her unwanted attraction to the one guy who can twist her stomach into knots with just a smile...but has never given her the time of day.

Zach's good looks may have always gotten him his pick of girls, but it's the star quarterback's skill on the football field that gives him his pick of the Big Ten colleges. To escape the crushing demands of his win-at-all-costs father, Zach opts for a private university in upstate New York where...his present and past collide. And the one girl he's always wanted but can't have--and a class trip to Paris--turn out to be the ultimate game changer that has him breaking every one of his rules.

My Rating: 5 Roses

Finally! A New Adult book with regular people! After seeing so many books with a broken girl/broken guy thing going, I really wanted to see a NA book where the characters were just your average people who fall in love. Only For You broke away from the cliches and turned out to be a brilliant book.

Oliva was a heroine who was easy to relate to. What girl hasn't gotten especially hung up on a guy? But, she was one of the lucky ones who managed to snag said guy. She was a great character, realistic and the kind of girl I would want to be friends with. Really liked her.

Zach was wonderful. A few times, his stubbornness about admitting to a real relationship made me want to shake him. But, otherwise, I adored him. He was so sweet when he wanted to be and, when he finally saw the light, determined to win the girl of his dreams. Not to mention how attractive he was. Can't forget that most important attribute *wolf whistles* :)

The romance was steamy. These two had four years of pent of longing that absolutely exploded when the finally got together. You might need to fan your face a bit. But, they were also sweet together. That four years of pent of feelings were deep and it was easy to tell how infatuated Olivia and Zach were with each other.

The plot was fast paced. I was hooked the entire way through. Again, loved that this book was a NA with average people. Finally had a book that broke out of the NA "broken couple" trope. The story was wonderful and the ending was perfect. So glad that I have the next book ready for me to read because I can't wait to see more from the series!

Only for You was an absolutely wonderful NA romance! Loved it, loved it, loved it! If you want a brilliant NA read, this book is for you.
